Foster Care/Adoption Services' primary function is to provide safety and permanency for children who have been removed from their homes. Caseworkers provide services to parents, children, and other family members or fictive kin in order to facilitate reunification. Children may be placed in a variety of levels of care, depending on their children's needs. These include county-level foster homes, therapeutic foster homes, residential placements, including group homes and residential treatment centers, as well as mental health placements.
