Mission Statement

The Steuben County Finance Department operates a public office, in compliance with governing law and regulations, to collect delinquent property taxes, manage and invest County funds, maintain banking and financial relationships, oversee County debt, administer County accounting systems and various financial reporting, facilitate County payroll and benefits, and make vendor payments, all while seeking financial and technological enhancements and efficiencies.

The County Finance office embraces a philosophy of continuous improvement. A teamwork approach will facilitate the development of our staff leading to the identification and implementation of cost-effective strategies that enhance services.
