Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP)
Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program check booklets, commonly called Farmers' Market Coupons, are now available through Steuben County OFA.
A well-balanced diet, which includes plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, is an ideal way to help keep yourself healthy. The SFMNP provides a booklet or coupons valued at $20, for the purpose of helping income-eligible seniors with purchasing fresh, locally grown produce from participating farmers' markets and farm stands throughout New York State.
Coupons are for the purpose of purchasing locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables, and cut herbs at participating farmers' markets throughout the area. Recipients must be age 60-plus, a New York State resident, and are at or below the following poverty levels:

One booklet per year can be given to any eligible senior. Example: If a couple are income qualified, and both over age 60, both individuals can receive a booklet.
Coupons can be used at any participating Farmers' Market or Farm Stand in New York State from now until November 30, 2021. Pick up Your Senior Farmers' Market Coupon at the Following Events
Corning: Monday, August 1, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Where: Corning Senior Center

Drive-Through and Walk-Up Event.
To drive through, enter Park Lane either from Bridge Street or W William Street AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers will assist you at the front entrance of the Corning Senior Center. After receiving your booklet, please exit on W William Street.
Hornell: Tuesday, August 2, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Where: Center St Parking Lot Pavilion

Drive-Through and Walk-Up Event.
Located across the street from the Hornell Family YMCA. AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers will be in the pavilion and will assist you with getting a coupon booklet.

Enter the driveway from the State Route 415 and continue through the gates. AmeriCorp Seniors volunteers will be located in the parking area. After receiving your booklet, you will be directed around the building to the exit. Not able to make it to the Drive-Through? Visit our AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers located right at the Wednesday Bath Farmers' Market at Pulteney Square Park from 10 am to Noon.
New this year – visit the Veggie Van!
The Veggie Van bring fresh, local produce to areas that typically do not have a grocery store or farm stand where fresh produce can be purchased. See our schedule below to see when the Veggie Van will be visiting a community near you! Or visit our website. The Veggie Van is open to everyone and accepts cash, check, credit/debit, Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT)/Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Benefits, and Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program coupons (both Seniors and Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC)).
